Length: 40’

Created for younger ones, it's time for a short operatic tale about a little hero who, thanks to his intelligence, manages to escape from the Basic Instinct of all those who try to kill him and his siblings. Making its national premiere, "Hop-o'-My-Thumb" is a short story by Isabelle Aboulker, based on the tale by Charles Perrault.

The smallest of all his siblings, this boy is the smartest and braves of all. He confronts every evil, beginning with his own parents, who abandon their children in the forest, with all its dangers and pitfalls. Unsurprisingly, while searching for help, the children end up falling into the lair of the worst predator of all - the Ogre. This is a metaphor for growing up, where we have to face the real world. Nothing is as it seems, and certain human beings manage to magically overcome the most insurmountable hurdles through luck, courage, and imagination... directed by actress and director Sandra Faleiro.
