Cecília Rodrigues
Cecília Rodrigues has received several awards in competitions, most notably the 1st Prize at the Almada International Competition (2015) and the 1st Prize in Singing at the Prémio Jovens Músicos – Antena 2 – RTP (2017).
In the field of oratorio, she has performed as a soloist in numerous works, including Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, Magnificat by J. S. Bach, Mattutino de’ Morti by David Perez, Exultate Jubilate and the Mass in C minor by W. A. Mozart, Mass in A and Mass in B-flat by Francisco Sá Noronha, Christmas Oratorio by C. Saint-Saëns, Requiem by G. Fauré, A German Requiem by J. Brahms, Requiem by Mansurian, and Magnificat em Talha Dourada by Eurico Carrapatoso. She has appeared in recital with conductor João Paulo Santos at Palácio da Pena, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos. In symphonic concert, she premiered Linhagem by Eurico Carrapatoso.
In opera, Cecília Rodrigues has performed the roles of: Rosina in The Barber of Seville by G. Rossini at the Lisbon School of Music (2018); Euridice in Orphée aux Enfers by J. Offenbach in Maputo (2019); Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette by C. Gounod, under the direction of Lorenzo Viotti (2019); 2nd Shepherdess, 1st Witch, 2nd Woman, and 2nd Nereid in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell (2020), conducted by Maxim Emelyanychev at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. More recently, she sang the role of the Kitchen Boy in Rusalka by A. Dvořák at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, under the baton of conductor Graeme Jenkins (2021).
