Madalena Paiva Boléo
Madalena Paiva Boléo was born in Lisbon. She studied Voice at the National Conservatory of Lisbon and completed a Bachelor's degree in Voice at the Lisbon School of Music.
Her operatic roles include Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart), Annina (La traviata, Verdi), the Page (Rigoletto, Verdi), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly, Puccini), the Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), the Neighbour (Mavra, Stravinsky), Mother (The Consul, Menotti), Emilia (Otello, Verdi), Sister-in-law (Outro Fim, Pinho Vargas), Aninhas (O Doido e a Morte, Alexandre Delgado), Florbela Espanca (Os Mortos Viajam de Metro, Hugo Ribeiro), and the Page (Tannhäuser, Wagner), performing at theatres across Portugal, including the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Culturgest, Teatro da Trindade, Teatro São Luiz, the Porto Coliseum, and the Almada Municipal Theatre.
She has also appeared as a soloist in sacred works including Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Boccherini's Stabat Mater.
She is an alto with the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos Chorus.
