The film that disclosed Mozart’s life to the world!

In the cycle that evokes the crossroads multiple influences between opera and cinema, it is the turn of the biographical and musical drama by Czech director Miloš Forman (1984), with a script by Peter Shaffer based on his play of the same name, freely inspired by the lives of composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri.

The film caused a sensation among the general public, as did the unmistakable laugh of Tom Ulce, who embodies the Austrian genius. It was nominated for 53 awards, and received 40, including eight Oscars (including best film), four BAFTA awards, four Golden Globes and a DGA award.

The film with the suicide attempt, by Salieri, already old, begging for forgiveness, for having killed Mozart, who has long since passed away. After being admitted to a mental hospital, he is visited by a young priest, who seeks to obtain his confession. Salieri begins a long "confession" about his relationship with Mozart.
